Waiohinu Farm

There’s a lot of rich history around our location and we’d love to tell you about it.

Waiohinu Farms is the southernmost coffee farm in the United States. Although we might be far from the mainland, we’re in the perfect spot for creating the best coffee in the world. The Kau region, which is where we’re located, has a deep agricultural history. What began as an area for harvesting sugar cane turned into the ideal land for coffee farming. We’re located on the slopes of the Mauna Loa volcano, which has rich, fertile soil. This rich soil is fed by the clear waters of a natural spring. This, in combination with trade winds and perfect temperatures, has created a perfect growing environment. 

Not only is it the perfect area for growing, but the native animals and insects thrive in this environment. The honeybees on our farm live in an environment rich in nutrients. The bees have a range of flavorful nectar at their disposal to forage on, which influences the great flavor of their honey. 

Our location embodies the atmosphere of an easy-going, Old Hawaii, and our coffee and honey surely reflect that.
