Creating honey began simply with our son Riley’s interest in beehives. He loves honey and had wanted a beehive since he was five years old. On his twelfth birthday, without knowing much, we set out to find a natural beekeeper to satisfy Riley’s interest. Four months later, we were the proud owners of four natural beehives. We then set out to educate ourselves, including Riley, on as much as we could learn about beehives and harvesting amazing honey.
Those four beehives quickly grew to twenty and our passion for honey grew along with them. We now are the proud producers of some of the finest honey in the world. We don’t treat our honey with chemicals and offer completely natural, unfiltered, raw Hawaiian honey.
The Kau region has the perfect climate for growing high-quality honey and has a year-round growing season. With natural spring water, perfect temperatures, and ample plants for pollination, our bees enjoy all the tropical benefits Hawaii has to offer. Our Wild Kau honey is multi-source honey and ranges from sweet to mildly sweet, but with a very rich flavor. It’s exactly what you think honey should taste like. The uniqueness of our Wild Kau honey lies in the fact that it retains the flavor of the nectar the bees forage on. It also retains the flavor of the pollen they collect. This includes tropical mangos, juicy papayas, and sweet island bananas.
